These pictures were made between October, 1984 and December, 1986. Fortaleza was then a poor, provincial, sleepy Northeastern capital city without much to offer. Heaps of litter several foot high and dead rats could be seen at several places on Beira Mar, skyscrapers were only a handful, so were tourists. Most of them really only got to know the airport or the coach station. |
